As a personal productivity assistant, Cortana helps you save time getting things done so you can focus on the things that are most important to you. In particular, Cortana can help you access information quicker, connect with other people faster, and be better at keeping on track.
- 1 min read Instead of scrolling through calendar dates to set up meetings or events, you can use natural language to book them in your Outlook Calendar. Just type in something like “next Friday” or “Christmas Eve,” and Outlook will automatically find the right date for you.
- Quickly create events in Calendar by entering the name and other event details using natural language. In the Calendar app on your Mac, do one of the following. Create a new event: Click the Add button in the Calendar toolbar, then enter a description of your event. For example, enter “Party Feb 6,” “Soccer Game on Saturday from 11am-1pm,” or “Vacation in Bahamas Mon-Fri.”.
- Schedule reminder notification. Remind schedules notification reminders. You can specify the time either using a specific time, such as 3:30pm, or you can specify it by the time from now in minutes or hours, or you can use both.
Cortana in Windows has a chat-based UI that gives you the ability to interact using typed or spoken natural language queries. You can resize, move, and dock the app window on your desktop to accommodate your preferred workflow. For example, you can dock Cortana next to a Teams window so you can accomplish quick tasks while staying engaged with your meeting.
Schedule 1, 'Organization and Administrative Records,' and Schedule 10, 'Documents Common to Most Offices,' will be used by nearly all offices. Schedules 2 through 9 will be used according to office function/operation.
In addition, you can still open Alexa using the Cortana app. Just install and configure the Alexa app for Windows 10. Then you can type or say, 'Open Alexa.'
